Get the most value from your regional Cut2Shape showroom demo. Here we detail what to bring, how to brief us, and who will benefit most from a visit.

Our regional showroom demos are pitched for South African workshop teams, technical buyers and production leads who need to see cut quality, talk through edge conditions, or clarify how their parts will be handled here on the Highveld. If your focus is on shifting from handwork to CNC sheet, or you want a real-world look at how files and nesting actually run, you'll get the most value. These sessions work best for decision makers, production foremen or owners who can discuss drawing intent and sign off on part requirements. If you operate at bench scale only, or need complex live toolpath edits, a remote consult or FAQ, CNC sheet page review may be a better fit.
We host small, focused demo sessions at our Gauteng base and selected partner shops across major SA cities. Sessions usually run 45-90 minutes, long enough for a real look at materials, finishes, and sample nesting, but short enough not to disrupt your day. You bring in your own DXF, PDF or marked samples for discussion. We cover the material coupon pack, show you how nesting checks fit your brief, and talk through the process from electronic drawing all the way to finished, deburred parts. It’s a working look at your own workflow, not a generic walkabout. Most teams walk away with practical notes, a clear quote path, and an idea of what the next operation could look like after our bay hands off the cut parts.
Before you book, collect files and key specs so we can match your needs quickly. We prefer a quick email through our contact form outlining your goals for the visit. Attach any drawings, preferred materials or finish notes you want us to reference. If you want to see edge conditions or need to test a vacuum hold, flag that up front. Mention if you want to reference our material coupon pack or run a specific vacuum zone map scenario. The more detail you include, the better we can tailor your session. After email confirmation, you’ll receive directions and a slot time, plus a suggested pack list.
We see a few stumbles that you can skip with a little prep. First, double-check your files for conversion issues, files that look fine in your CAD might drop layers or fonts when opened in our nesting suite. If possible, run through our DXF hygiene guide before sending anything. Some visitors forget to flag which edge breaks or radii are functional and which are cosmetic, so a sample with colour-coded marks really speeds up the demo. If multiple people from your side will attend, agree on requirements ahead to avoid surprises at the session. And just so it’s said, arrive with safety shoes or closed takkies, our bays can get busy, especially near the high-speed cutters.
A production lead from Germiston is rolling out a new run of extruded aluminium covers and needs to check that our bay can profile both the main parts and the cutouts in a single pass. She emails us with a DXF, states her sheet sizes and asks if we can show a sample edge break while managing offcuts for later use. During the demo, we review the drawing against our compact bay footprint, check part fitment, then run through edge finishing options using samples from our shop. By the end, she’s left knowing exactly how our handoff fits her operation, and what tweaks will speed up her next order.
