James Naidoo focuses on practical installations and field support for compact CNC bays across South Africa. From setting up small fabrication floors in industrial parks outside Gqeberha to upgrading training shops in Gauteng colleges, James takes care that each bay gets up and running with the right fit for local mains, dust and humidity. He works hands-on alongside operators, checking each machine’s alignment and programming for actual South African conditions. Whether it’s a first install or a tricky retrofit, he makes sure the handoff leaves no guesswork for your next job.
James steps in when a TVET workshop needs practical support with new CNC routines, safe machine use or quick tool changeovers. He walks teams through everyday tasks, such as setting up nesting for less waste on mild steel, or switching between aluminium and board stock during class sessions. James stays on the floor just long enough to get staff settled and students working smoothly, and keeps his phone on for any problems after a power cut or a tripped fuse. He’s known for fixing what matters, not adding to the paperwork.
Most weeks, James starts on the road, van packed with hand tools and spare sensors, heading to new sites or return visits in places like Durban or Polokwane. Every job is different, one day it’s levelling a machine in a school’s converted storeroom, the next it could be fine-tuning extraction fans at a small-batch joinery in the Highveld. James keeps the pace steady, balancing urgent calls with scheduled training, and never leaves a site without double-checking the local earth and neutral connections. Sometimes he’ll spot a loose wire before anyone else does.
James tackles technical issues with a calm, step-by-step method that puts the customer's process first. He’s quick to spot mismatches between imported specs and what local operators expect on the floor. When a customer’s drawing doesn’t quite match the cut sheet, he’ll call to confirm before a spindle ever spins up. If a bay is picking up Highveld dust or coastal humidity, he adapts the filter setup (and will give the foreman a simple checklist for future use). It’s never just about machines - James listens to the team’s way of working, then suggests adjustments that actually help.

Ask for James if your team is organising a new compact CNC bay, especially for a mixed-material setting or in a space with non-standard mains. TVET colleges needing staff training or a first walkthrough with live cutting get the most from his patient setup approach. Companies handling frequent changes in job size or wanting to reduce bench-time cleanup can send a message through our contact form to book his support. You’ll also spot James’s notes on field installs and troubleshooting in parts of our Resources and Machines pages.
